In 2023, Lawrence Opera Theatre’s 14th season, A Season of Discovery, celebrated a diverse array of performances that highlighted new and classic works. A standout moment was Canto Italiano with 23rd Street Beewery, which featured the world premiere of Cece by our very own Raffaele Cipriano, showcasing local talent on a global scale. The season culminated in a captivating production of Carmen. As a highlight, LOT was also honored to be invited to the Eutiner Festspiele, where we performed selections from Carmen, inviting audiences to explore the rich tapestry of operatic storytelling and the transformative power of music.
